Think about the most community involved rappers of all time:
Pac, Jay-Z, MC Hammer, and Nipsey.

Jay more underground and don't speak about it but the others was open with it. Pac- dead, Nips- dead, Hammer- broke and they pretty much banned him from hip hop. Let's be real, this is the typical. I don't know enough to really know, but this feels like deflection to me. Pac was getting himself involved in violent gang beef literally hours before he got killed. Whoever killed him it was obvious as fukk that gangbanging COULD have killed him, he was asking for it.
