nipsey has great songs and is an awesome writer.

BUT gibbs has a more diverse discography, and is easily one of the most technically proficient on the mic you'll ever see live. like, he's one of the best at the actual art of rapping ever.

Gotta go with Gibbs... Nipsey is a replacement level rapper to me.. Feel like I could take him completely off his projects, keep the beats and guest spots, and replace him with "random average west coast artist" and I'd enjoy it just as much.. Never in life have I heard a song and thought "damn they should've put a Nipsey verse on here, he would've killed it"

you not listening to what Nipsey saying if you think you can throw Dom or YG on his songs and it's the same song

gibbs voice is monotonous and his subject matter just doesn't connect to me. it's something missing from his music, i can never make it through his entire projects. he's lightweight super overrated on this board IMO. at the same time, i could see people saying the same about Nip, but at the least, Nip got way more conviction and emotion behind his lyrics and delivery.

gibbs is hilarious and charismatic as fukk, but nipsey makes me wanna step my game up as a human and an entrepreneur

both these brehs are in my top rappers of the current generation for these reasons. i love both of their musical output, but nipsey has that additional leadership potential, and i just fukk with the way breh carries himself and seems to live his life
