Another amazing night at Korakuen.

Night 16

Yujiro/Anderson got a similar story with Fale/AJ from yesterday, teasing dissension, but this time from everyone on Bullet Club hitting on Nao-chan. First time I heard people chanting for Yujiro... It was like three people, but that surprised me. It was OK.

Elgin got EXTREMELY popular on Korakuen. I guess this won't be the last time we see him on NJPW. Poor Goto got almost no offense, nor support from the crowd. Elgin almost ripped his head off with a lariat in the OH, SHYT moment of the night. Excellent match.

Nakamura/Kojima was good, kinda short.

Okada at first was amused by old man Nagata, but he BROUGHT IT tonight. That DDT on the floor sounded brutal. Even they got a doctor close, which I've rarely seen in this company. Nagata looked great. Another great match.

Honma/Ishii was very special. I need to check back their match from the beginning of the year to see if that was better, but this time Honma got his moment. That relentless chop exchange, Honma keeps coming back, and with a triple Kokeshi FINALLY gets a victory, to which I popped huge, the crowd goes wild and then he leads him in chants with his fukked up voice.

I love puro, brehs :wow:

Man Elgin vs Goto was nice, Elgin is really popular in Japan and he's won me over. He's had great matches. Completely dominated Goto, I wanted Elgin to win but it makes sense for Goto to win with a roll-up. I definitely want to see Elgin in Japan again.

What's the deal with Goto, the crowd is always dead for him? Is it because he took the title of nakamura?

That seems more like a crowd cheer hierarchy thing.

Elgin was the big hoss underdog, Goto was tough...but most of his offense was to provide breaks for cheers.

He didn't work heel, but he was an obstacle to the crowd's goal: a big win for Elgin, one that would cement a return.

They did solid booking with a good stun rollup finish and respect ending, but the crowd wanted more.

Honma did it:wow:

Good for him:salute: Breh sounds like he's near death every time he talks/breathes heavy :mjcry:

Elgin/Goto was very good. I like Goto basically having to outsmart Elgin to get the W. I didn't really think much of Elgin before this tourney but he's done very well for himself.

Okada/Nagata was great. Okada was overlooking Yugi at first, before Nagata let him know it was gonna be a fight. I wonder if Okada selling that arm at the end will be something that will be a story in the match with Nakamura?

Nakamura/Kojima was also good. Nakamura's Boma Ye damn near looked like a Tiger Knee bouncing off that rope

More Bullet Club tension. Foreshadowing something?:jbhmm:
