Define “too much” filler. Here’s the track list:

Intro
Somebody’s got to die
Hypnotize
Kick in the door
F* you tonight
Last day
I love the dough
What’s beef
BIG interlude
Mo money Mo problems
Nyggas bleed I got a story to tell

Disc 2

Notorious thugs
Miss u
Another
Going back to Cali
Ten crack commandments
Playa hater
Nasty boy
Sky’s the limit
The world is filled
Downfall
Long kiss goodnight
You’re nobody

Maybe 3/4 skippable tracks (one being a 1 minute interlude) out of 23…

I'll go thru it. But having skips automatically means it's not on the same level as Infamous

I like RTD more than LAD, and there's some filler/lag on RTD too.

Without Q Tip this album wouldn’t have been possible. His influence is all over this album. A Mobb Deep album hasn’t sounded like this ever since.

I never realized how involved Tip was until the last 5-6 years. I always wondered why Havoc's production sounded much different after The Infamous (less background horns for example like in Survival of the Fittest, or QU Hectic).

IMO there’s no filler on RTD but there is on LAD. But 10 crack commandments might be the greatest rap song ever written. LAD is real top heavy

Friend of Mine is def filler to me...I don't love Respect either.

And I'll get hate for this, but the singles are so played out to me that I have no issue skipping Juicy & Big Poppa.

I don't skip any of the singles from Infamous or Liquid Swords for example bc they weren't commercial.

Respectfully disagree.

I don’t even Think Aquemeni or ATLiens is on this level.

Something like OB4CL is more comparable
Absolutely not. But, as you said, respectfully.

Soul Food has held up as well if not better than any rap album that's ever come out.

Soul Food is dope, I need to revisit it bc it's been a long time.

There are many southern albums I prefer over it, kast's first 3, The Diary for example.

I've always loved the infamous from the first time I heard it, always been a top 3-5 album for me and at times it was my all time fav.

Strangely, I don't remember the infamous getting this much love back in the sohh days (circa 2000-2002) it was loved but I don’t remember People holding it in the same tier as Illmatic, OB4CL, 36 Chambers, The Chronic. I think ppl had it a tier lower bc it wasn't "groundbreaking" like some of those listed, and/or it wasn't a commercial smash like doggystyle or what RTD became.

I don't disagree about the Infamous. I'd put it in my top 10, maybe even top 5
