No disrespect ... but are the Celtics the weakest 1 seed in NBA history?

I think the Nets and Iverson 6ers are probably the closest i can remember.

I'd take the sixers over them because of how good they were defensively but i think the Nets may have been worse.

I think these Celtics would beat those nets in a playoff series though

the 1994 Atlanta Hawks were weak

Nets and Sixers were also type weak as well.

I can't comment on entire history of the league, and I know thats not what you meant since most of the teams you will mention would have been from the last 15-20 years. Those 3 teams were the first that came to mind in my NBA viewing experience.

:what: IF THE TEAMS MADE THE FINALS
THEY WERENT BAD 1 SEEDS AT ALL.

ITS OBVIOUSLY THE 2015 HAWKS.

Im not shytting on them, they have an amazing future ahead and way ahead of schedule. Just curious

If you gave every Celts fan a truth serum they'd admit they're gonna be watching this first round with rosary beads and biting their nails. This is a perfect time for Rondo to show out, Jimmy to go nuts, and for them to double team Isaiah Thomas right out of the first round.

I'm going way back on this one. I'm going to the 93-94 Atlanta Hawks. This was the season they traded Nique for Danny Manning. Mookie Blaylock had a huge breakout year but overall everybody thought they was food which turned out to be true. Most expected Knicks, Bulls, and gave Pacers and Magic a shot to knock them off.

I can't look at teams like the Mavs and Sonics that lost in the first round because heading in nobody thought those teams would lose like that. Only in hindsight were they looked at as weak. The Hawks I don't think anybody thought they had a chance to make a finals even as the #1 seed.
