No disrespect ... but are the Celtics the weakest 1 seed in NBA history?

The disrespect in this thread :gucci:

Y'all so spoiled by superstars averaging 35 on the playoffs and taking the last 10 shots of the team that y'all forgot about team ball.

Isaiah already proved he can ball on the 4th and he's a legit threat, y'all can keep talking shyt about the nikka height.

They have an arsenal of different plays, they are better than they look.

:picard: Act like IT4 can't come in the clutch when needed, brehs.

The Atlanta Hawks team from 2 seasons ago was weaker and benefited from Bron, Love, & Kyrie getting used to one another to grab that #1 Seed. Throughout that Post Season run, needing six to beat that Brooklyn Team that snuck into the Playoffs, and were a Paul Pierce 3 away from possibly going to seven with the Bullets in the next series.

The Hawks were a great team in 2015. They lost Sefolosha and Carroll was injuried, they had nobody to guard Lebron. The Korver Injury and Horford getting ejected didn't help but it was already over.

2015 Hawks with a non ass beat Sefolosha (sp) would beat this Celtics team in 6 games man. I don't even see an argument around that. Celtics were a close second defense almost the entire year and had an incredibly schemed offense. That Horford would fukk current Horford. I don't know who would matchup against Trillsap. Budenholzer would scheme around trash ass IT's defense.

The 2017 Celtics are definitely very weak for a 1-seed. Obviously we'd be dealing with a 60+ win Cavs 1-seed if it hadn't been for the injuries.

Here are a few other very weak 1-seeds:

1977 Sixers - Only 50 wins, got taken to 7 in their first round.

1979 Sonics - 52 wins and just a thoroughly uninspiring team

1984 Lakers - 54 wins in a very weak conference, Kareem was starting to decline, Magic missed 15 games, and Worthy hadn't stepped up yet, they basically coasted

1994 Hawks - Yeah 57 wins and a couple big names, but they were just not a scary playoff team at all. Were down 2-1 and barely escaped the 1st round before getting blown out of the water in the 2nd.

2001 Sixers - 56 wins but basically surviving off of one guy who was all their offense and another who was all their defense.

2002 Nets - 52 wins, damn that was an ugly team to make a Finals.

2003 Pistons - 50 wins, couldn't close the deal without a Sheed, it was like no one in the East wanted it that year

Im talking the modern era btw (post merger?) ... I obviously cant comment on the really old shyt

only 53 wins ... and just dont strike the fear a 1 seed should

this isnt some Bulls/Celtics shyt cause we're playing them either, I'd make this thread regardless who they were playing. Im talking strictly on what they accomplished in the regular season and the overall team makeup
This Boston team would probably sweep the Atlanta hawks team from two years ago :francis:

Bruh :stop: You don't know much about any of the teams you mentioned (or the league for that matter) you just looked at empty stats to get to your conclusion. For example, that sonics team you mentioned was the defending champions, and they ended up losing in game 7 of the NBA finals. So whatever metrics you came up with? :camby:

Hawks went six against a Nets team that had Alan Anderson as their best offensive threat, nearly went seven against a Wizards team that played without their best player for two games, and then got swept by Lebron. That team was way more fraudulent than this year's Celtics.

Every team in the east that doesn't have LeBron on it's team is weak compared to the west.
