There are.

Its just that engineering is the hard tedious work and the quality of your equipment will directly affect the final product.

White dudes in the game usually have more money = better equipment = cleaner sound = better reputation = more customers = even more money = even better equipment etc etc..

Also brothers with musical talent like that often get pushed to be the artists or producers or general personalities whereas white brehs are usually kind of swaggerless and best suited for roles like that.
