Like somebody else said earlier, I think by making it 30-40 yard field goal it would b a hella of lot better then the damn gimme point we got now. Plus kickers would have a little more to get credit for.

Hmm I kinda like the idea of a td being 7.

I almost liked the idea of the extra point +/- thing but I think it would only penalize a losing team so shouldn't be any taking away points if it's missed.

And since we brainstorming I think you should get extra points based off how far the kick is...so 1 point from the 30, 2 points from the 40, 3 points from the 50 and 4 points from 60.

They should just stop bullshytting and incorporate all of the XFL rules. They been jacking some of them over the years anyway...

The biggest rules change that you will notice is the elimination of the fair catch on punts. XFL punt returners will not be allowed to take the easy way out when the oncoming stampede gets uncomfortably close. And to make things worse, any punt over 25 yards is a live ball, just like a kickoff.
This could lead to some very interesting fourth-down strategy. We've seen the onside kick a million times, but the onside punt? Imagine how interesting a punt becomes when the ball sails over the receivers head. Or watch how everyone scrambles when a pooch punt falls into an open area on the field. Could make for some great highlight film!
The punt returner isn't going to be hung out to dry completely though. They will be given a five-yard cushion to make the catch before being run over, and the kicking team will have to wait until the ball is kicked before leaving the line of scrimmage.
While we are on the subject of the kicking game, there is one change related to kickoffs also. All kickoffs into the end zone must be brought out. If a kick returner does not make it out of the end zone, the kicking team is awarded a safety. The only way for a team to receive a touchback is if the ball is kicked all the way through the end zone.
One change in favor of the offense is that a receiver will only need one foot in bounds on a pass completion. The same goes for a defender intercepting a pass. As long as they get one foot down inside the line, the catch counts.
The defensive backs will be allowed to employ the old bump and run all the way down field, a tactic the NFL outlawed years ago in a move to give receivers an advantage. On the other side, the offense will be allowed to have one man in forward motion outside of the tackles.
Apparently Vinny Mac was tired of watching the nearly-automatic extra point conversions after a touchdown, so he eliminated them. Instead, the scoring team will have to line up at the two-yard line and attempt to score by passing or running the ball in. This will not be a two-point conversion either. It will only be worth one point.
Also, if the team attempting the extra-point conversion fumbles the ball or has it intercepted, then the defense can run it back for a point of their own.
The quarterbacks are going to lose a little of their protection as well. The XFL will have no in-the grasp rule. A quarterback will be ruled down when his forward progress has been stopped, just like any other player. He will still be allowed to slide to avoid taking a big hit, though.
Also, in an effort to speed up the game, the play clock will be set at 35 seconds, and 25 seconds following any clock stoppage.
Another big change you will see is in the overtime period. There will be no sudden death in the XFL, instead each team will be given at least one shot at winning the game.
In overtime, each team will get a chance to score from the 20-yard line in four downs. If the first team scores in just two plays, the other team must match them by scoring with just two plays. If the second team matches them they will do it again.
The first team is not allowed to kick a field goal until fourth down, but the second team can kick one whenever they want if the first team fails to score.
The only time both teams will not have at least one possession in an overtime is if the first team commits a turnover that is returned for a touchdown by the second team. In that case the game is over immediately.
Other than the aforementioned, the game is basically the same as an NFL game, but with Vince McMahon at the helm, anything can happen. The man is probably the best promoter in the world, so look for some crazy things to happen in the weeks to come.
