This is why the International Sports Organizations refuse to let American broadcasting companies to take over sole rights of the international sporting events. Sporting events here are designed around the commercial breaks and not the other way around.

Just make TDs worth 7 with an option to go for a 3pt conversion from the 25 . Teams would pretty much only try for the 3pt conversion if they were down big. Let's say a team is down 27-17 or better yet 28-19 with less than a minute to go. The specter of the 3pt conversion changes the entire dynamic of that game. This you get 7 automatically but if you go for two you can get 8 but if you miss you go back to 6 shyt is
