chances these 18,000 folks find a job equaling pay to the concessions they would have to make? Probably slim.

So because it's an employers market right now, that makes the CEO's automatically in the right, correct?

Where did I ever say that. Its common sense though....the union was more concerned with making a point than keeping 18,000 ppl employed. Its typical...Im sure those folks are thrilled.

So it's out of the realm of possibility that the union wasn't thinking something other than this, right?

This is your core mentality I've noticed regarding every union issue I've seen you post about.

As if you've taken the time to read about this union's intent. It's all about "making a point."

:heh:

I mean...seriously...that didn't take a lot of thought for you to come to this conclusion.

like what?

I don't know yet. I haven't read up on the inner workings of Hostess as of yet. and unlike you, I'm not ready to automatically make rash judgments and have an anti union knee jerk reaction saying "they're more concerned about making a point."

:heh:

It's intellectually lazy.

No its not, its common sense. The economy is in the shytter and 18,000 union workers are out of a job. The chances they land a job with the same pay is extremely unlikely. I'd rather keep people working.

No shyt...it's ALL about making a point! If they wanted to make sure everyone kept their jobs, they would've just caved in yet again. I'm sure everyone who joins the unions know the risks. I'd rather be unemployed than to put up with unfair bullshyt.

Demand on a product decreasing is reality. Its not about fair vs unfair.
