Buy as many twinkies as you can. They dont expire and you can make a lot of money selling them off to the obese once the shortage begins.

I`m sure they would keep the names, they would just own Hostess, there would be a nice Kraft logo on the back though near the fine print

Yup, that's how it works. I've worked on some projects for Kraft distribution and it's crazy the different brands they and other companies own.

What exactly did the bakers want that was so outrageous that they decided they might as well file for bankruptcy than negotiate? That sounds like a failure on both sides of the negotiating table. You shouldn't be playing Chicken, you should be trying to compromise so that both parties at least get something that they want.

They proposed an 8% reduction in salary and 30% reduction in benefits. The workers had to do what they felt they had to.


They were giving up a lot. a 30% reduction in benefits in turn can further erode their salaries....but it's all about "making a point."

What were the company big wigs willing to give up?
