Wow this team looks so different. I see a huge emphasis on the defensive end. St. John’s doesn’t have any answers. Dug has gotten even better and Burnett looks like the go to guy. Also I really like Trey’s game.

Team should be in contention and fun to watch all year.

He's a team cancer, played no defense, gave the bare minimal effort required to see the floor. Y'all will be better this year without him.

Howard was also showcasing his son last year which also wasn't good for the overall team chemistry and winning. Y'all will be better without Jett trying to make his own highlight reel at the expense of winning.

Teams play better without the pressure of preseason hype and such too. Watch y'all be a surprise team that competes for the B1G and is capable of S16 run.

No chemistry and a bunch of 1 year loan players who aren’t exceptional talents like Zion or something so there is really no upside. Be interesting if Juwan goes back to the Beilein model if taking too 50-100 guys who will be here for the development.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. I've only got one real gripe tho .. I'ma start off by saying that I don't like Terrence Williams' game at all. But I don't mind him in the lineup if he's busting his ass (like he usually does) and goes with the flow of the game. This dude is tryna be an iso player, and a catch and shoot s point shooter.. when lets be real, he ain't none of those.

Just keep playing hard my guy.. and play your game.

We have shooters but the shots aren't falling right now. We're missing Joey Hauser A LOT, which I predicted when all the MSU fans were too busy trying to buy national title tickets. Joey shot 46% from three, and could get to the line when he needed to, really solid inside-out player. We've missed A LOT of shots that rimmed out. They'll start to fall eventually.

I knew guys like Malik Hall weren't going to be any better this year than they were last year. Hall can have games with 10-12 points, 8 Boards, 4 assists, but then score 3 points in the next game. He's just sluggish and doesn't have the confidence to shoot. When he gets the ball with any sort of space, you know a shot is going up and not necessarily a good one. When he starts getting into his moves, he's throwing up some contested fade-away that even when it goes in, I'm surprised af.

Of the 4 incoming freshmen, the one known as the shooter has been injured, and needs to bulk up before he's going to be a factor, Izzo said today he'll redshirt.

IMO, the freshmen need more PT, let them make mistakes with a longer leash during the non-conference, then tighten up as the games start to matter more. We've seen how far this team can go with relying on the same guys we've been relying on for 2-3 years now. S16 is about the ceiling. So we'll need the freshmen to get over that hump to make a real run in the tournament.

I sense the upperclassmen are playing a little tight b/c there's younger guys ready to eat up their minutes, but the freshmen will still play like freshmen, so there's a bit of discombobulation until they figure things out.

IMO we should've been ranked more like #14-18 range and earn our way up, rather than start in the top 5 and drop games. They were itching to be humbled, especially the Seniors.
