People are denied bail on the regular before trial but I don't know the specifics. Maybe he isn't deemed a flight risk? Didn't Zimmerman get bail too? Hmm..majority of people get bail...

He comes from a privileged background. This isn't that surprising, hard to hold someone without bail....would have to demonstrate he's a flight risk or likely to cause more harm.
