I remember being clowned on here for even mentioning Babyface in the same sentence as R. Kelly. Yeah, R. Kelly has a better catalog as an artist and singer. As a producer and songwriter though, Babyface>>>>>>. Face has classics for decades. R. Kelly has classics and is still a genius, but it is what it is.

i appreciate both of them.......... i'll admit i was tired of him dominating radio in the 90's with all his hits

but now I MISS HIS CONTRIBUTIONS...cause the songs had REAL SOUL FEELING compared to today's NUMB INSENSITIVE TECHNO CRAP masquerading as R&B

That's the thing. We got a million and one shows searching for singers, but how many are looking for the next great songwriter/producer?

You can crank out all the watered down, soulless, edm R&B all you want, but people still gonna be hungry for that real soul shyt. I ain't seen an Awards show this lit in years:wow:

Ordering fast food and take out from January through October, but come Thanksgiving, you're making room for that good ol' fashioned soul food.

She said its out there about the effect she has on rappers, making them wear crochet pants and lose they mind,so shes been banned from the hiphop awards....So she's banning hiphop from the awards show, she had a fake phone call with 3K where she talked to him like a lil ol bytch:pachaha:?Then young thug called and she said she couldn't understand what he was saying:mjlol:...Then Iggy Izzalea called and she said "Your welcomed to come, because what your doing is definitely not hiphop music":dead:

Common caught it too. I think she said something about "I have a common effect on rappers".

These songs are over 20yrs old and people still groovin to em like they just came out :wow:

Great music doesn't get old, it just ages like fine wine:wow:

We'll see if anyone is still playing alot of the watered shyt on the airwaves 20 something years from now:usure:

Don't see it happening...any R&B song past '05 has the lifespan of a cricket.

I always say '06 was the turning point. The early to mid part of the 2000's was transitioning out of the 90's....still had some 90's residue on it.

That shyt dried up by '06

...Soul Train Awards:stylin: put my childhood back on that Winter Jam Screen:blessed:

You forget how much of a GOAT R. Kelly is:dj2:, cuz of his illicit FUKKERY, tho:damn:

I blame Timberlake and the popularity of Auto tune that caused classic RnB to die out in the mainstream.

Glad that shows like this exist still, cause having organic music like this feels much better than nodding your head in the club. :blessed:
