I think its safe to say dude has turned the corner. This is very encouraging going into next season I hope he continues to get better.

The fact he did it with Conley and Allen impressed me the most. Besides Okafor, all the Grizz had to do was key in on Wall and he just was not guardable last night.

Some of those shots were also just great defense by either Conley or Allen but Wall had the better offense. Its amazing how different his shot is when he is shooting it at the highest point instead of on the way down or unnecessary fade aways.:smugbiden:

John Wall might have just turned the corner. I think he's super close to becoming a star.

47, 8 and 7 against one of the best teams out West isnt no fluke. 25 ppg and 9 apg over his last 9 games. Dude has been hooping

As much as I hate to give them credit, they are probably right.

They're 9.5 games behind Milwaukee and if you recall, they lost a ton load of games early in the season by one or two posessions or in overtime. That stuff was hard to watch.

They also are 6th overall defensively. They are 2nd, I believe, behind Indiana since Wall came back.

The Wizards are the only top 10 defensive team not in the postseason picture.

The sucky thing is, watch Grunfeld trade our lottery pick for a veteran (s) on an expiring contract like he did in 2009, just so they can make the postseason with this core group of players.

I know this draft is horrible, but its going to be real bad in June when he trades our pick and that pick down the line turns into a valuable piece.

this allows ernie the gawd grunfeld one more year :blessed:

:snoop: :to:

Ernie will also do whatever he can to keep the squad together and rest on his laurels and hope for a healthy season to bail him out and get him ANOTHER extension in 2014.

He and Randy Wittman are on lame duck status next season. Ted gave them 2 year deals on the cheap last Spring.

Well the team was 5 and 28 before he got there.

It's not hard to think they would be right in the thick of it in the East had he been playing all year.

thats because they would have been a playoff team with Wall.

Now that may not be a good thing in the long term (keeping Ernie on board because of that) but they were right about this being a playoff team.
