can some explain to me how this is nothing but a half year fluke

what proof is there that he'll get "better" instead of averaging out

Because he is still young and raw and you cant help but to see the improvement he has made. He only played one year of college ball and never has got the discipline in his game that he needed. But the game is starting to slow down for him and the sky is the limit for him.

friend, if you dont watch Wizards games dont comment.

:what: so then you should comment on 99% of the NBA

:ehh: I look forward to you shutting the fukk up from now on

but you're supposed to improve from your first to second year

I'm simply asking, why isn't the assumption that he'll level out? If I read it correctly, your answer is youth and raw ability. Ok but how does that garner a "sky is the limit" characterization

Friend you have made a few critical errors here.

One, you created a false equivalency. I don't comment on 99% of he NBA because I don't watch it all.

Your second mistake is that you are proud of your ignorance in how John Wall has played. You showed that by not pointing out that he had not improved.

Sophomoric errors but you will understand.

but you're supposed to improve from your first to second year
Actually the 3rd year is usually the "leap forward" year for point guards for the a lot of these point guards. Look at a guy like Russy his first couple of years and then peep the 3rd. Happened to Rose too. Happened also to Gary Payton.

With Wall, we really don't know what would have happened in November had he been healthy. And he was just getting back into shape in January and February, but we don't know for sure.

its the mechanics of his shot... its kind of like night and day to how it was last year and even his rookie year

Bullets Forever has broken this down a lot. They went in depth today:

How mechanical fixes helped John Wall drop 47 points on Memphis - Bullets Forever

John also has finally understood the concept of pace. You don't see him going full blast at the rim anymore. He's learning things like the hesitation dribble, the floater, and other things to save his body from intense contact and offensive fouls as well.

I am proud of Wall but he been very good all year when healthy. I went to the games, he impacts the game for the wiz. I really have the Wiz as my #2 team outside of the Hawks which is #1 .

1. Hawks

:childplease: Did I say you commented on 99% of the NBA. I said I LOOK FORWARD to you shutting the fukk up. Which means I should not see you in any coli thread outside of the Wizards'.

Did I say he has not improved or did I simply ask "what proof is there that he'll get "better" instead of averaging out."

Why get butt hurt. You could've just explained it as simply as @FAH1223

Notice I used no smilies or emotions in my first post. But you felt the need to :cape:

gonna read that article later, but i co-sign ^^^ this. never really understood the concept of pace until i heard jason kidd and baron davis break it down. you cant run by everyone. always gonna be someone faster, quicker, fresher. but, the key is keeping defenders off balance and guessing, whilst not killing yourself before the 4th. its easier in college but during an 82 game season, this is why so many young guards hit "the wall". npi. buckhantz referred to it too on one of the plays last night. only two players ive seen that hit the ground running being speed demonized teen wolves are ai & rose.

Friend, you entered this thread to disrespect. There was no caping, just come in with the right temperate.

Cheers.

this is the first thing I noticed when he came back. He wasnt just running into blind alleys anymore and added some hesitation dribbles and was more side to side than a straight line. Thats when I knew he actually did something last offseason than before.

I really believe dude's jumper woulda been this good had he not been injured. I dont think he was ever been in shape until the end of February.

The sky is the limit because besides shooting he pretty much has all the tools to be a great one. Yeah he hasn't improved at a rate expected of him. But if he had teammates like Emeka and Nene around him from the start instead of Gilbert I think he would be even better than he is.
