Like folks explained in the thread earlier, his contract is franchise friendly, so it makes sense for this useless franchise to bench him, since they're not going anywhere this season anyway, and because if he happened to get hurt they would end up owing him a bunch of cash, whereas if they bench him now they can just unload him in the offseason and not owe him shyt.
I'm glad they sat this bum, I'll be glad if they trade him too, just like I was glad when they traded bum ass Alex Smith.

Benching him does nothing for your season. Blaine Gabbert surely isn't the answer. Best course of action would be to ride it out with Kaep. Fix the oline. Run the ball.. Since your head coach is defensive minded, how about work on getting your D back to top 5 again. That might help.

He had 3 good games and 5 average to poor games. This is the first year he's struggled. The offensive line is the worst in the league. The play calling is horrible. White QBs struggle for YEARS and still start. Should I go on?
