I'd say the Colts are up there with the best. Hilton, Johnson, Allen, Fleener, Moncreif and Dorsett is an incredible bounty for a QB to have. It's definitely deeper than any other group.

Dorsett is a rookie who is injured with a broken leg. He's all potential, has not done anything meaningful on the field yet.
Moncrief is a 2nd year player.
Allen and Fleener are pretty good.
Hilton is very good.
Johnson is washed and looks like an overrated FA signing. He's letting Moncrief take his snaps.

He also openly admits himself that he doesn't care much about passing mechanics,and that QBing is as simple as throw it to the open man.

It shows too, because he is horribly inconsistent with accuracy and ball placement.

Funny thing is, one thing that he did work on int he off-season he actually did get better was on touch passes, he just continued to regress elsewhere, a huge one being pocket awareness.

And about his confidence suffering, he's just a mental midget. So easy to get in this guys head and make him play mad and stupid, look at the Seattle championship game meltdown. Then earlier this year he told the head coach he let the Arizona game still effect him in the Green Bay game.

You answered your own question. What GM would risk that? If you can bring him in, under contract, and restructure the deal, you get a very good player for a lower round draft pick. Best to get while stock is beat down on misinformation, than chase when everyone has had a chance to analyze and spike bids.
