Let's look at Wilt Chamberlain's team during his best season. Notice anything?

I'll tell you what I noticed from this:

Wilt Chamberlain was on a team with 2 other Hall of Famers and
- wasn't the captain
- didn't win a title, even though he was the best all-around player in the league

You know exactly what I was talking about, this dude is damn near dunking from the freethrow line in games after taking it coast to coast :wtf:
in fairness this is more due to the change of the game then evolution.

No thread on how Steve Kerr was dying from back problems for weeks and then in this series he can miraculously run and jump down the sidelines and not even grimace once ?
He had back surgery 4 weeks ago to fix his spinal leakage problem

Forget the 50s, there’s a clear stark difference between NBA players in 2017 compare to 1997. The average NBA player now is taller, stronger, more powerful, more athletic, more skilful and better coached than ever before.

Jordan in 1997 is Jimmy Butler level in 2017 or players like Wall or Paul George would COMFORTABLY win MVP in 1997 with ease. The game has rapidly changed in 20 years. Basketball pre-99 was an amateurish sport. Only really became professional due the Lakers in the early 2000s, taking the sports to the heights never seen before.

(Steve Kerr's comments on all the former greats who said they'd beat this Warriors team)
"They’re all right. They would all kill us. The game gets worse as time goes on. Players are less talented than they used to be. The guys in the 50s would’ve destroyed everybody. It’s weird how human evolution goes in reverse in sports. Players get weaker, smaller, less skilled. I don’t know. I can’t explain it.'

:lolbron:

This was before tonight's game btw...

This bytch ass, slick talking Kerr still upset Jordan tapped his Jaw in practice...

Greatest Basketball team is the 72-10 Bulls team. As stacked as the warriors are, they didnt win 70 this year.
