Well no vote brehs are still involved in the political process so when a politician comes around talking on their issues that's who they plan to get behind. The biggest issue with no vote brehs is that they largely have too much faith in the blue no matter who crowd and think these people will actually stand on something. They won't and will always outnumber the people who do so politicians can pretty much ignore them and make them seem like they're the ones doing something wrong by withholding their vote until someone comes around willing to push for their needs.


What you're talking about in OP seems to be brehs that are completely disengaged from the political process. There's a difference.

The Republican party in its current form will never do anything substantial for black people. Its ideologically opposed to ANY of the governmental policy measures that would benefit black people. The country would have to be move substantially to the left for Republicans to even consider the most light weight measures to close the racial wealth gap. There are simply too many people in this country that are firmly against doing anything exclusice for black people and they're mostly captured by the Republican party. Yore right. I agree with all of it. I vote D straight down the ballot every time out of spite, but this dude Chambers is just on his campaign money grind. He’s in the running cause nobody else ran. Unfortunately, I realized that no matter who I vote for when it comes to election years, my vote never matters in a red state. Also, I fail to see what voting gets us as a people. The last time I voted was Clinton vs Trump.

He got blew out in the senate race because Louisiana is a Solid red MAGA state and most people who vote were older white folks. He got the 2nd most votes even more than the Random white guy the Louisiana Dem Party supported with money, ads, endorsements, etc.. And the other race was the same thing. A state senate Race in a District that was like some of Baton rouge and Mostly NOLA voters against 2 Career Long New Orleans Politicians and and Im pretty sure he had a decent performance in that because he had a good ground campaign in Baton Rouge

Before I moved out of my hometown, we had two referendums on the ballot to not annex a particular section of land for the city and not rezone a part of one of the black neighborhoods. The referendum rejected both in the high 80s. The city council went around the ballot measure and unanimously voted for the two measures anyway. You know what a group of black businessmen did that made the city council do a 180° reversal? They put their meager funds together and hired a lobbying firm to get the entire council to vote against their prior votes.

The city had another referendum to allocate funds to build a park that no one wanted built. It failed at an even higher percentage. The people most vocal about not having a park didn't do anything even when those black businessmen suggested they do the same because they knew what was going to happen. The park is built and now has to have a regular police presence during the night shift to keep the meth heads and strawberries (drug prostitutes) out.

That isn't what I asked. What has not voting gotten us? What has it gotten impiverished black people in states like Louisiana and Mississippi where they barely have any representation.

Gary Chambers supported reparations. Why wasn't that enough to get black men to vote him? Why did over 900k registered black voters choose not to vote for him?

Lack of confidence in a system that has never rewarded our loyalty to it...

Black voter turnout is abysmally low in places like Louisiana and Mississipi and they have some of the lowest quality of living standards in the country. White Republicans dominate those states and black people have virtually no power.

When is not voting effective in theory and practice? Please tell me.

What does voting get you when majority are idiots who keep voting for only democrats or republicans instead of looking outside of those two parties?
