Deontay wilder stated late in boxing, and it took him ten years to fight for the world title.

Jon Jones hasn't even been training MMA for ten years, that's the difference.

Holly Holms was already in her 30's when she started doing MMA, she didn't grow up doing MMA

Ronda Rousey didn't grow up doing MMA she grew up doing Judo

Boxing is a sport because most elite fighters have a long pedigree in the amateurs and have been boxing since they were in single digit ages. Ray Mercer is just one of a handful of olympic boxers who turned pro lol.

There is no way Floyd agrees to MMA rules...

I also can't see him agreeing to using those little ass gloves...

He's hurt his hands in 3 of his last 5 fights...

If it happens it will be a boxing match with 10oz gloves in the octagon...

McCAC gets KTFO and then complains about the rules he agreed to and claimed wouldn't be a problem throughout the promotional tour being bullshyt...

the major marquee fight, didn't sell out (at least that was reported) and didn't hit 1m PPV buys. This was supposedly the biggest boxing event of the year. NOw CAnelo vs GGG should be bigger or Kolov vs SOG. But you can quickly see that boxing was being carried by literally 4 fighers the past 5 years.

which is why UFC can consistently get PPV buys of about 500K and up every UFC. Boxing has not show that same ability outside of the 4-5 marquee guys (one is Pacman who is retired and the other is Mayweather).
So while you can call out Khan purse size, the UFC as a whole is eating up some of boxings previously go to slots, which is why Boxing has been dying/falling off the last few years. I did not say boxing was dead but it isn't the same as it use to be and UFC has a lot to do with that.
