Actually, I think it is the opposite. If someone had a father who was the type of guy the op and you are describing, then a person would be better at identifying when they are dealing with that type of person and know to avoid them.


& even if a person didn't have a parent like that, it's pretty clear to see when someone is trying to make you jealous or make you compete over them. Women with common sense know to leave those type of men alone.
