I'm not playing semantics bruh. BMW, Lexus, Audi, and Mercedes offer different vehicles with different build qualities at the corresponding price point to match. I'll show you.
The BMW 3series isn't even their most entry-level vehicle it's actually the 2 series coupe for $37,400 this vehicle isn't luxury it's a premium entry-level vehicle that supersedes non-premium brands like Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Ect.
Then you have the 430i Gran Coupe and 530i sedan that are the mid-premium of the brand not too expensive and not too cheap either the difference in price between the two models compared to the 230i is $17,225 that's big but still not luxury yet.
These other BMW models are so expensive in price point that you rarely even see them on the street like that. and these are just considered the upper premium models. These companies believe in offering degrees of quality within the same segment vs having just easily definable categories for customers.
The BMW M3 is in the upper echelon of the premium category. as you can see even the color option changes lol
Now we are in the luxury category but ironically at the lower end of it. The BMW M8 competition gran coupe is BMW's Highest performing Sedan before they offer you the electric option.
This is the lower option in the luxury category but this car has to compete now with the likes of the Mercedes AMG GTR, Lexus LC, and Porsche 911 Turbo S . The BMW has the same amount of power as the Turbo S at a cheaper price point but the Turbo S has a better build quality and attention to detail overall compared to the other brands. The BMW M8 lacks this and that is why Porsche is considered a good MID-LEVEL luxury car instead of being like Ferrari and Lamborghini or Bugatti which exist at the top of the luxury car segment who HANDCRAFT and HAND build their vehicles.

Alright you should understand things now
