I swear y'all write this out with the expectation that if a player loses once he deserves to be shyt on when the truth is that he played incredibly and his team still lost. It's happened to most of the greats too.

I don't understand how you can watch a sport, waiting for someone incredible to lose, so you can try to shyt on them and throw out an "HE AIN'T AS GOOD AS Y'ALL THINK THEY ARE"

Nah that's not what I'm on, because I appreciate Giannis for what he is...

What I'm saying is guys need to be careful conflating him as someone he isn't. I dont get how cats can watch a players entire career and then reimagine the circumstances of it in ways they didn't happen...

Since Giannis elevated to stardom 6 years ago, he's gone out in Rd1 twice, and in the Semis twice. The two years he won MVP with 60 and 63-win teams he completely faceplanted in his final postseason series...

The year he won the title he benefitted from weak opps and injury favor...

And I have an issue with people pretending he was carrying a squad of chumps without Middleton. Half the nikkas on this board love shytting on Middleton but then make Middleton the reason Mke lost the series. Jrue, Portis, Connaughton, Lopez, Allen, this isn't a cast of chumps, even if they played like it against the C's...I've seen guys do more with less and so have you, all you guys who lauded Steph's near-playoff run in '21, or Iverson's Finals run in '01...

Guys have done more with less so I have a problem with guys acting as if Giannis was shouldering this unbearable responsibility...

I'm not calling for Giannis to get shytted on, I'm pointing out the hypocrisy in how the greatest player alive is held accountable depending on who said player is. I'm not shytting on him either, I'm just laying out what his career has shown us to this point...

Hands down the Most insecure groupies of any star nba player ever

Nah that's definitely you Jordan nikkas and it ain't close...

My nikka said Lebron ran it back after 12 like he ain’t have two Hall Of Famers right along with him

Jrue and Middleton aren't better players than Bosh?

33/17/7 in a series against the best defense in the NBA absolves him of most responsibility for the loss, BUT y'all do realize that a team has to lose right??

The fact y'all never want to read OP's posts or any posts longer than 3 sentences makes the Coli DeBruce Wayne/IT gods narratives hard to believe.

To the thread's point, holding Giannis's feet to the fire is fine, but I can't get it blackmarking his ring.

Couldn't post for a week and I'll preface it by saying that no matter what happens the rest of the way, it's very clear that Giannis is the best player in basketball today. No doubt about that...

But that weak G7 performance didn't get the attention it deserved on here, mostly because it was bigger than just one game. Starting with the game though, he was 1-5 in the 4th of a game that was still winnable the first 5 minutes. His inability to elevate and stop the bleeding and lose in blowout fashion and getting the "fatigue" and "no Middleton" excuses are not acceptable...

Overall he had a great series and was the best player in the series, but I can name guys easily from the past 6-7 years who were missing their best teammates, and had to increase their workload and energy in a series, yet lost and were NOT allowed the fatigue and "missing their best teammates" excuses: LeBron (multiple times), Steph, Harden, just start with those three. There are others...

And it's not because Giannis is a made man full of accomplishments, Bron was far more accomplished carrying series with inferior rosters and yall shytted on him; Steph was more accomplished when he didn't have Durant abd Klay in '19 and yall shytted on him...

You dudes so eager to crown brothers without letting the shyt play out, and yall definitely have different standards for different players...

I was one of a very few on here who said, "let me see Giannis complete a title run again". I got called a hater because I factually stated the following:

•thru 8 years, he'd only advanced beyond the Semis twice--->now that is thru 9 years, he's still only had two deep playoff runs;

•the immediate two years prior to his '21 title run, he choked big time getting backdoor swept by Toronto and getting whipped by Miami, mind you in both those seasons he was the 1-seed, MVP, abd had 60+ win teams....one chip run wasn't enough to convince me the two years prior were the anomalies rather than the one year;

•he won his title in a Covid-shortened season by beating a flawed Heat, injury-riddled Nets, imposter Hawks, and imposter Suns. There's no way looking back on '21 run anyone says that was a slate of worthy opponents

I always said this: run it back, can't deny doing it two years in a row. Going out sad would fall in line with his performances prior to '21 and establish that those patterns are real. I wasn't a LeBron fan in '12 and felt the same way about him after the lockout chip, despite the fact he was more dominant and accomplished than Giannis at the time. But he ran it back and the rest is history...

All the comparisons to LeBron need to be deaded ASAP. Again in 9 years he has 3 Rd1 L's and has only been out the Semis twice, he isn't LeBron. Just stop it...

More importantly though, all you nikkas caping for him, I'm not allowing the he's tired excuse, he didn't have Middleton excuse. Up 3-2 with two opportunities to close the series yall nikkas was riding him hard. He IS the best player alive today. There's a pattern with him though, and his degree of dominance is more Regular Season Warrior than dudes wanna admit. There is a pattern here, and I'm holding all you frontrunning nikkas accountable!
2 of Bron’s 4 chips came in a lock out season and the bubble. What did Bron win when his sidekicks were compromised? This is a low quality post

OP has a point, I’m a Giannis guy but in this series he did get handled by Horford and Grant multiple times, missed easy buckets, less efficient, etc. I get on Middleton for his inconsistency but I knew when he was gonna be out the Bucks weren’t winning, Giannis needs his pnr partner and secondary scorer. Jrue did step up at times, just wasn’t enough, and the shooters fell off a cliff after the Bulls series. I still think Coach Bud should put Giannis in positions to be a finisher.
