The fact y'all never want to read OP's posts or any posts longer than 3 sentences makes the Coli DeBruce Wayne/IT gods narratives hard to believe.

To the thread's point, holding Giannis's feet to the fire is fine, but I can't get it blackmarking his ring.

Nah we’ve all read his posts in full before, we know its all bullshyt by now it’s been years. OP the same guy who very recently wrote a dissertation about how Harden and AI were better than Wade. No one wants to read his garbage essays.

Huh?
maxresdefault.jpg

In the last 6 years he's only made two deep postseason runs. Two Rd1 outs vs the juggernaut '17 Raptors and '18 Celtics...

'19 ECF run where he was MVP of a 60-win team, ran up a 2-0 lead on Toronto before getting backdoored--->went from a 27/15.5/5.5 line on 472/286/750 shooting during the 2-0 run, to 20.5/12.5/5.5 line on 435/357/472 during the 4-game sweep...

'20 Semis went 21.8/11/5.3 on 508/214/537 while losing the first three games en route to a gentleman's sweep. Oh yeah. He was the MVP on a ~63-win team this season too...

'21 won it all, closed The Finals in historic fashion, can't take it away. I know what the two previous years showed so one year of a title run, in a Covid-shortened season, where his team benefitted from weak opponents and injury luck. Just needed to see it again...

'22 is why you needed to watch the games rather than counting stats. Absolutely dominant the first 5 games in terms of volume production, hit a few clutch baskets. But was also down in efficiency, up in turnovers, and by the second half of G6 was struggling to finish at the rim which us his bread and butter...

In a series that he only shot 457/250/676 anyway, the stunning part was watching the aforementioned struggles to finish, and seemingly running out of steam in a Semifinals series. Not a Finals. Not a conference finals. A Semis. The last 6 quarters were not great basketball by him if you watched the series play out...

So to your question of confusion, I'm saying here we go again, late in a series his play starts dipping and I'm saying I've seen it before. As it stands now I don't know how anyone could have the conclusion that '21 wasn't the unique playoff run from him, because '22 fits more in line with what we saw from Giannis in '20 on back...

nikka said jrue and Middleton are better than Bosh :mjlol:

So Harden and AI > Wade and jrue/Middleton > Bosh :mjlol:

I didn't say at any point I thought AI was greater than Wade, and I also said while I thought Harden was a better basketball player than Wade, his career has been inferior so I have him lower than Wade historically...

You guys really overrate Bosh but that ain't nothing new around here. Bosh was the third wheel on championship teams who a)struggled to make the playoffs as a #1 in the "weak East", b)had several availability issues during those 4 Heatles years, and c)was known for putting up 0 points in a Finals and several other weak ass performances in those playoff runs...

But sure. He better than Jrue and Middleton...

Lol Giannis was the 6th and 7th seed in 2017 and 2018, it’s not shocking he got bounced in the first round. You wanna knock him for coming up short his mvp years that’s fair, but this 6 year narrative you’re running with just seems like outright hating.

Bron won two chips in a bubble and lockout season. Timmy won a chip in a lockout season and never repeated. Injuries happen literally every year in the playoffs, this is just needless nitpicking.

Giannis played great this series and took a really good Celtics team with the #1 defense to 7, without his second best player. I can’t see how this is a knock on him, definitely not comparable to the MVP year flameouts.

:mjlol: at comparing Bosh to Middleton and Jrue fukking Holiday.

They sick bro, they really believe Jrue and Middleton > Bosh and Wade. And they point to 2014 Wade as their proof. Let's not even start talking about how Jrue would look like Black Caruso next to Bron :dead:

Do you think Middleton or Jrue could lead a team with TJ Ford and Bargani as the 2nd and 3rd best players to a division title? Because that's who were comparing him to in this thread
That and Bosh was putting up 24 points and grabbing 10 boards at his best. Even if Bosh is overrated to some, he‘s sure as hell better than Middleton & Holiday

He pretty much the Eastern Conference version of Pau, but somehow he's mid and Pau carried Kobe to two chips :dead:

Bosh averaged 24 and 10 for 5 straight seasons before Bron handicapped him in Miami.

Bosh was a perennial all star, made more all star appearances and all nba teams than Jrue and Middleton combined.

11 all stars -> 4 combined by jrue/khris
1 all nba -> 0 by jrue/Khris

Forget wade, and Khris’s injury. if Giannis even had bosh instead of Jrue, they would be playing heat right now.
