Respect to Nore.
What he said was insightful.
It's sad how NY has fallen off.
I guess karma has came back full circle for them disrespecting other regions for so many years.
Ebro and Clear Channel One still ain't shyt though.

I figure out that NY can't really jump on the technology wave and adapt to this era. They can thrive in the smoke and mirrors of the past where power was on the hands of a few. Now, with youtube and forums like these, everyone has power to search for what they want.

Besides,we need new NY blood, not the 40 year olds that want to change shyt that it can suit them and return it to the "good ol days."

I swear people need to stop using Maino as the example of the persecuted NY rapper. Other than @FreshAIG nobody wants to hear him spit. NY drops the ball on local shyt and NY acts that come out, but we're not fiending out for these rappers.

People want rappers to get big out of their street rep, not of their quality of music. That shyt is dumb and fukked up Hip Hop more than people actually say.

If NORE isn't a legend than what is he?

Because as far I'm alive, if anyone ask me to name the top 10 recommended essential grimey NY albums...The War Report is on that list

And I know Main-O gets alot of love

but musically..he aint innovating nothing

the last track I liked from him was "I am the Future" produced by Clark Kent

THAT IS BECAUSE MAINO IS TRASH AND MAKES TRASH RECORDS

THE SOUTH IS WINNING BC THEY STAY INNOVATING AND BREAKING THAT TIRED ASS NEW YORK FORMULA

NORE GONNA START WARBLING IN AUTOTUNE AND RIDING YOUNG CHOP BEATS NEXT YEAR BUT BY THEN THAT shyt WILL BE PLAYED AND OLD RAPPERS WILL CONTINUE TO FEEL SOME TYPE OF WAY ABOUT THEIR OWN RESTRICTED ARTISTRY

lol @ the south being innovative.:laff:

nore is 100% on point.

when i was living down south, the radio was breaking new records and new artists left & right.

most "new" south records are already hits with major followings before they go national. alot of those hits are already old actually. dudes be having multiple joints and already established throughout an entire region and multiple markets before they even hit the overall national scene.

aside from a random rapper here-n-there every once in a while, the east coast doesnt do this anymore. Nore talking about troy ave is a good example. they dont support that chit. you go over to philly, delaware, south jersey, etc and nobody has even heard of dude.

I remember when hot97 didnt even played hip hop it was a house, freestyle, club music station.
U must be like 65 years old

And Hot 97 is the premier hip hop station in the tri state area. What artist from anywhere blew with zero support from their local radio station?

The fact that a NY DJ can get FIRED for not sticking to the approved playlist says it all. U have to blow elsewhere to get the cosign from NY, but other places won't jump on your wave until you get a cosign from home. shyt is damn near :troll: nikkas need to get at Ebro for that "grind harder" bullshyt

I'm surprised nobody has walked up in hot 97 and told them to get down or lay down honestly

:yeshrug:

Nore and foxy brown shootouts
Game and 50 shootouts
Wu Tang shut them down and was banned from hot 97 at the height of their popularity

Im sure their offices are heavily guarded. Probably in a high rise where you have to get a pass to get into the building. 100% corporate.

The south is more widespread and it has 80% of the black people living there. Its a numbers game and the south has had a 20 year head start in the independent shyt. Troy ave better go to PA and NJ and even CT and Boston with that East Coast sound, cause I know that the trap heads sure don't like no traditional boom bap beat and NY slang in their cars.
