For the simps that came in here with their capes on for black women, this is what they think about you

Stop 🛑 it. There are plenty commentators getting at the OP and evidently he/she/they are notorious for their troll threads.

THANK YOU!!!!!!

The coli- be your own boss, do it for yourself, have financial freedom, create your own wealth brehs etc

Also the coli- women want to be bosses, have financial freedom, create their own wealth and do it for themselves

:heh: :wtf::umad::duck::skip:

Funny how entrepreneurship all of a sudden is frowned upon and laughed at. This is why you cannot take the comments on this site serious AT ALL. They'll skew their comments to fit their agenda and it's hilarious. I'm all for black people turning an idea/hobby into a business. If the quality is good, I'm supporting it and telling others about it. Never have I ever shat on someone who wasn't afraid to take a chance. I might not be their target demo etc but I'll wish them nothing but success

I'm noticing this. Why would BW attempting to build businesses be something to make fun of?? It's the same weird, condescending energy I saw a few years ago around BW becoming CNAs or medical assistants.

I mean if we gone be like that, I can discuss how many t shirt businesses and credit repair brehs I see hawking their wares online happily with entrepreneur boldily asserted in their bios.

What was it like? I’m not sure if the two organizations are linked. I’d love to hear more info.
They’re not linked at all. It’s not a lot of practical and measurable objectives like the black women build. Just socializing at the one I was in. Theyre many locations nationwide.

Running a business is tough. I had a hookup on some frozen Digiorno pizzas. I would get em by the case for dirt cheap. I bought a couple ovens and rented a spot and opened up Buckgiorno's Pizza and Candy Bar.

You'd get a pizza, candy bar and a 16 Oz soda for $16.99

I couldn't sustain it and I also couldn't handle the online criticism

Here’s some more context:

OP is right that this isn’t a bash thread. Given the context of most businesses, it CAN’T be a bash thread. Even under perfect circumstances, most businesses don’t turn a profit.
Black women are
-black and female in a racist society
-in a community of haters
-get the least startup funding
-least business loans
-have to fund out of pocket the most
-are learning everything from scratch without being able to outsource responsibilities to anyone
-while still holding down jobs, raising families and being most likely to be caretakers of elders in the black community

And STILL trucking on. It’s not the drag potential haters want it to be. If those fat, nasty, non-submissive, ugly non-golden ratio, darkbutt, hairhats are doing all that with those odds against them…then they are a force of nature. It really is black girl magic.
:wow: :salute:

You do know you can file your taxes under a net loss for the year, even though you made a profit as a business owner? Im assuming Forbes get their data from tax returns from those businesses. And im not implying small businesses don't fail in their 1st year, but i guarantee those stats are off quite a bit.

Oh yeah I’m learning about all of that. But how sad is it that I’m 39 and JUST learning this shyt. I think that’s the real rub. Blacks need more financial literacy. Other communities have generations of business owners to school them. Blacks have to learn it from scratch.

You only have 3 or so years of losses before the IRS will consider it a hobby.

LLC babble. Making 50k a year as a “boss” isn’t better than a 50k year job with benefits and a pension or 401k w/ match. You’re most likely working harder, more stressed, and you’re missing out on retirement.
If you're company doesn't use your 401K to shore up the company/ Increase stock price so the bosses can cash out.

True.. My accountant never did it for consecutive years and mixed in some years where I owed somewhere between $500 to $1k.. Then I believe Trump changed the tax code where he fcked with the deductions you could claim.. His reasoning was to never get refunds and dont always try to break even..

Yeah I’m not sure what the expectation is. Realistically, given the fact that they get virtually no help or start up funding or capital or business loans—so they doing it all out of pocket by themselves and they STILL turning a profit…

Nobody becomes a Fortune 500 overnight. I think this is a good ass start.
Not to mention some of the businesses and non-profits they are creating are friggin amazing!

IMG_20201015_114935927-1.jpg

The expectation is black women's businesses' need to be making 100K or it's pointless and they need the white man to save them.

Give me all the daps!
