Kids maybe on their own by then but that doesn't mean the parents stop shelling out money...If they had a better job they might not be in that situation
Plus by the time people are 55 usually their kids are on their own
Kids are always asking for money.
"Dad can you help me out with 10K for this new car"
"Mom can I borrow 20K to pay off my Credit card loans"
"Mom and Dad, can you help us pay for our 40K wedding"
"Mom and Dad, can we live at your place for a while we save up for a house"

I know the majority of you men on here don't believe in God or the Bible but I'm gonna say it any way. The bible directly says that children are a blessing from God. They are an inheritance from the Lord. If you raise them right and invest in them, that's exactly what they will be to you, a blessing. Examples of black dads who investested in their kids -Matthew Knowles, Tiger Woods daddy, Venus n Serena daddy. And we all know how these men's kids turned out.

I know a man is not really a need but I want one. I want my babies born within marriage. I would love to have a good looking man that I can come home to after traveling the world and cook with (I want a husband that can cook too!), hug and give kisses to and go on a picnic or something with our babies.

Hey man I'm not married and I would never want to in my 20s. But when one's 40, and unless I'm a movie star, athlete, etc, it might be something to think about.
There's nothing I hate more than marrying just for the sake of marrying. Only marry if you really can see your life spent with that person.
