When I say "us', I'm talking about the adults that could care less about all of the other stuff, because we're too busy with our own daily lives, and only care about good music. if the video is trash, the video is trash. The argument is one side saying "it's forced, trash" etc etc, and the other side is saying "but look what it's accomplishing, look at the goal" etc etc. My argument is who cares about the goal if it's poor execution, trash, and just like because of the person. It's like the emperor's new clothes.
I think they liked him better when he at least seemed like he tried to make good music, and not just selling ish because his name was attached. I think that people are upset that he has seemed to assimilate instead of bringing all of himself into their culture. It does tend to come off as forced. And honestly, those people that do give him a pass for trash music, and only look at his accomplishments are completely ignoring the the one aspect that shouldn't change so much.
For those that look as his accomplishments and aspire to be like him, hey that's good for you, if that's what you want. For those that really pay little to no attention to his accomplishments, and only care about the music, they will listen a little more harsh.
