This thread never works. Race is a social construct but it's also historical. You wear history and heritage. Race is very real. It's not useful but it is real.

This conversation isn't useful for black people because we don't get to forget we are black. Also, there are different types of humanoids. So even scientifically, race does exist. It exists scientifically but we are, as far as anyone can report, all the same race. Every person alive is a new or modern human. So I see what you mean. Race doesn't matter but racism does. Rhetorically, it's irresponsible to say it doesn't exist because when folks talk about race, it's almost a given that it has to do with skin color.
