In the same boat. I filed my 2019 in early April. checked the Where's my payment link and the IRS is like:mjlol:

I'm mad and gonna stay mad in every stimulus check thread.
Didn't file This year yet and I got mine :yeshrug:. Reduced from the max, but still enough to offset all the extra food and heating gas we're burning through.
The Mrs and I been working from home whole time so it's a nice extra bump for us. Plus we haven't had to pay child care for over a month.

That sucks. I filed in March and already got my state and federal returns, so they must be going off of 2019's taxes. But i am way over the limit and no HoH this time so i am not sure what it is going on, but i am just going to sit on it.

I understand but it would be fukked up to not get a check because you had a job, but then 2-3 weeks later you got let go. Then you would be assed out.
I feel you but I doubt this is a one time thing. But for the time being they coulda not given me money and given someone who actually needs it more than they got. $1200 is one bill

This is a white supremacists talking point.
Should not all black people with ties to north american slavery be entitled to reparations regardless if they need it or not.
These ain’t reparations tho. You comparing apples to oranges. In reality it’s prolly a disproportionate amount of black people whose employment been directly effected by the virus. My argument is that someone like me who doesn’t need the money shoulda had my money go to someone who does. Matter fact I know some people outta work right now who I might give it to

Miss me with that ws talking point bullshyt. I’m the last nikka you should be saying that shyt to

No it shouldn’t have. It should go to people whose employment been directly effected by the virus. I’m still collecting a paycheck. I don’t need it. There’s people in desperate situations right now
Exactly... if anyone is still working and earning the same as before then why are you waiting for money? I’m still working as well and earning the same. I have no need for a stimulus check.

Man, I was just fukking wit you, white supremacy just sound good in the moment. :heh:

But forreal, just because our jobs are not directly affected doesn't mean we're not affected in other ways.

I rent out property and 75% of my renters work service sector jobs. I know how hard it is for them so as a good christian man I've covered their rent for April. The stimulus money is not going to be enough to cover back rent and their other mounting bills so I've written April rent off for them. And most likely will have to do the same for May. I still have mortgages to pay.

Additionally, I sit on a number of non-profit boards in which, as a board member, I've had to donate money to keep their operations above water. I'm on four boards mind you.

And I'm black so that means just because I'm good financially, doesn't mean all of my family is too, so that means I have definitely loaned money out to a few of my cuzzos.

Just because our salary isn't directly affected doesn't mean we have not been affected monetarily by this virus.

Not to mention, I'm a heavy investor and have sustained some losses.

I am not wealthy by any means but I would not have turned down that grand.

My girl is a radiologist so that helps.

My past three paychecks I been able to
save more money than I have been able to in a long time since I’m teleworking. Now I just got extra money for doing nothing
:mjlol:

That’s cool and all but there’s people who desperately need that money right now. And tbh for many people it won’t even be enough

I feel you. I definitely understand everybody’s situation is different. But the whole stimulus thing is flawed to begin with. There’s people who lost jobs who don’t even qualify for it becuz they made a certain amount the past two years
