My 80k is worth a lot here.. well.. i can hit 90 with bonuses.. but working where u wanna go to work every morning is best... Congrats
Well congratulations then.
Almost $17,000 more. $96k a year now from $79,500...!
I know I'm not a 25 year old 6 figure cat like most of y'all in here lol...but not bad for almost 40 year old when I didn't get my bachelors until I was 33.
Of course, I live in the DMV. So 96k here is like 40k anywhere else smh. It's so damn expensive here.
Congrats. Now you need to head down to the 757 lol

Yeah, I'm currently plotting my next move. Denver is an option, but it could be the VA Beach area!Congrats. Now you need to head down to the 757 lol
Lotta jobs in Norfolk these days. Work in VB, live in NorfolkYeah, I'm currently plotting my next move. Denver is an option, but it could be the VA Beach area!
Right now I'm in Alexandria. If I stay here and buy a home it will be somewhere in PG county though.First of all. Congratulations! Big step up.
Unless your in DC proper DMV aint too bad as far as cost of living. You can find some good spots in PG county for very affordable rates. But that government contracting industry is real. Of the top 15 wealthiest counties in the US, at least 9 are within the DC region.
I may be biased because I've been in this area since college so I may be used to it and also I have no comparison for cost of living.

When I graduated College I had homies getting gigs for 50-60k in the DMV but that is like the equivalent (or was) to making like 40k in ATL. Everyone I know in the area stays in those areas I never heard of in MD, I don't think anyone actually lives in DC.
I just graduated college as well. My first offer is for 60k in the DMV area. I'm not staying in DC proper but about 20 mins out. While DC is expensive, once you move out of the District proper then things get much cheaper, especially in PG county.
