I recently played Halo 1 (Through the MCC) for the first time since the OG Xbox and was like at the absurd amount of backtracking you have to do, and some of the levels are HUGE with no real indicator as to where you're supposed to go. I quickly remembered why I never rocked with Halo like that until part 4.

Like someone said, it don't happen that much now. But back in genesis/nintendo and ps1/xbox era you was fukked. Ya mind start playing trick on you and you start trying things that you know won't work.

Sitting there thinking *maybe I'm suppose to jump to that ledge over yonder* knowing damn well it's too far and you fall to ya death. If you really fkked up you start thinking the game done glitched on you and you gotta reset lol.

I kinda forgot this was a thing. I mostly play openworld stuff like Morrowind and Don't Starve and Rebuild so I just go wherever I want.
I used to get lost all the time playing phantasy star on genesis though... shyt was weak af, breh.
