DJ Yella.

Dre will always get co-production credits, but he just tells what the other man to do. He has no actual talent in playing any instruments. He thinks of a sound in his head and tells other people what to do.

Thats what Diddy does. :russ:
Ever heard of Steve Jobs? Having a vision to make something successful counts for something. If you look at most of the people these mega producers collaborate with behind the boards many of them don't go on to do much after that.

I never felt like that. Ye sounds natural to me. Dre always sounds like he's rapping with the http://data:image/jpeg;base64,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

voice.

SIDEBAR: Easy looks like he can see dre out the corner of his eye and he's trying notto bust out laughing in this pic. Ren looks disgusted. But they gotta be in the pic cause hee's the dude who makes the beats. Kind of like that homie you didn't fukk with when you were 15 but he had wheels so you put up with him being swagless.
:mjlol:@ Dre's stance in that photo! Everybody else is looking natural. He can tell Dre is acting.....too hard.

:ohhh: What other big name producers also do this?

No one else but Diddy, but nobody rates Diddy as a rapper or producer.

This is hip-hop. If you don't write or produce your own shyt that you claim then you a fraud.

Everything else solely attributed to Daz is subpar as fukk compared to those joints.

Every time this shyt about Dre stealing credit from producers comes up, I go back to this Uproxx article and the knowledge dude was dropping in the comments:

"For those who swear Dre stole production credit or did not produce the bulk of his catalog… you must say the same about Quincy Jones and Thriller. There cannot be any separation or definition between the two.

I have said it before, but will say it again for those who missed it – if you ever get the opportunity to listen to the Thriller demos, you might wonder why Michael ever even put Mr. Jones’ name on the project. Michael, in his own home, basically crafted all of what you heard (the foundation), without Q.J.

Mr. Jones just came in, hired musicians to round out the sound… and make the basis of the demo recordings, fuller. And as said before, as well, he only played 3 instruments on the entire album (perhaps even fewer, I am not looking at the credits currently). But no one ever questions him for the album’s success or that he produced it.

Oh wait, that is what a producer does. That is the definition of a producer."

This is common knowledge. He gets a producer or team of producers to make beats, then he oversees them and makes the tweaks he wants.

:ohhh: What other big name producers also do this?

No one else but Diddy, but nobody rates Diddy as a rapper or producer.

Really? I know other big name producers like Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, & etc. have notable collaborators that worked under or with them.

Also, does Diddy still credit himself as a producer like he did in the 90's? I went back & listened to some Bad Boy singles from the early-mid 2000's and I noticed Mario Winans was getting producer credit without any mention of Diddy.

yeah. by 93', dr. dre already had a name. how would it look if some "no name" producer came in and was now doin' the majority of the work :mjpls:
:russ:
I'd call that marketing genius. Everyone knew dre had the hottest beats at the time. Dude literally stacked like 5 albums full from nwa to the chronic. I'm sure daz was rewarded handsomely. Dre just got burnt out man...if any one can posta daz interview talking bad about dre I'd be really surprised
