I mean, comedy is all about the attempt. The problem is, as stand up comedians, we would do it on stage and if it failed, it would rarely leave the room or at worst, be a small article in the newspaper.
Trying edgy material on social media (even if you repost someone else’s joke) is dicey because:
1. it’s in black and white forever and can and will be used against you.
2. most of this generation will throw a hissy fit over anything that causes an affront to them (which is almost everything).
Personally, you have to be a god like comedian to find humor in a molestation story like this because I can’t find the funny in it, nor rarely do I ever. But, if it was funny, I’d give props where it’s due. It just seems hacky.
Good comedians avoid low hanging fruit.
