I mean, comedy is all about the attempt. The problem is, as stand up comedians, we would do it on stage and if it failed, it would rarely leave the room or at worst, be a small article in the newspaper.

Trying edgy material on social media (even if you repost someone else’s joke) is dicey because:

1. it’s in black and white forever and can and will be used against you.

2. most of this generation will throw a hissy fit over anything that causes an affront to them (which is almost everything).

Personally, you have to be a god like comedian to find humor in a molestation story like this because I can’t find the funny in it, nor rarely do I ever. But, if it was funny, I’d give props where it’s due. It just seems hacky.

Good comedians avoid low hanging fruit.:yeshrug:

I’m only gonna say it like this. Che and I share mutual friends…he isn’t , and is not going to listen to ANY criticism constructively. He’s surrounded by people who kiss his ass and he keeps it like that. It ain’t even no use trying to tell him that using Larry Nassar is a step too far, he wouldn’t give a shyt anyway

Twitter is HOT, they are in that cancelling phase where they start making shyt up and not care if its right :whew:

The joke was tasteless but comics been doing this forever, everyone has short memories when we are in the middle of some drama. What about all the Michael Jackson jokes, R Kelly jokes, Cosby, Jared from subway, Weinstein? Every night in your local black club you'll find much worse than what Che reposted.

That's the problem, he's too big now to do that. When you have something they can take away from you they control what you say, nobody cares about the local comic saying the same thing

I don't watch SNL, but I thought his Netflix special was decent and his HBO show was pretty funny. I don't think this particularly joke was funny, but I'm also not someone who believes comedy should be policed.
