Depends on what the artist's intent is, as well as the intended audience.

Of course rape jokes are not funny to people that have been raped or know someone who has.

Artists have been depicting rape in visual art for centuries.

I'm not trying to affirm the non sequitur that all art is good art.

I'm simply saying that lets examine what is presented and THEN hold the artist accountable after the explanation.
