@ThreeLetterAgency I remember listening to John Henrik Clarke and he mentioned this speech by Booker T Washington which I feel is relevant that talked about immigration at the time supplanting black labor.

The main difference is you're comfort with portraying certain black folks, with a specific narrative. Thus any efforts that are not specifically talmbowt those lazy black folks are deemed not addressing the issue

The problem is that institutional racism IS ever present. You have to look at it like zombies in The Walking Dead, just part and parcel of black living. The crazy part is, that you have white folks walking around acting like the zombies aren't even there, because they are the damn zombies and don't want to admit it.

But we all know this upfront. Aint no way you made it to adulthood as an adult and don't know the game is automatically harder for you because black. I'm not here for the excuses. Just like nikkas get shot everyday, nikkas also make it out the hood everyday. We can keep seeing all these black women making it out and sit here and pretend black men can't do the same, but I'm not playing that game with yall.

Exactly. But you still have a lot of "what's the point of trying" ass nikkas out here, and some "I wanna do what my daddy and granddaddy did for a living" ass nikkas, not even realizing they did those jobs because they HAD to. It's 2016. The knowledge is out there. We should be doing better.
