Chris Brown got more range than Usher. Everytime Usher does something outside of R&B it feels forced.![]()
Can someone explain what makes Weeknd pop but not Chris Brown?
Cause it ain’t adding up.

I have other responses to my quotes. I said in them Chris Brown would have been better off filling the pop lane because of his talents. Comparing his vocal skills and discography to the other great R&B artists from the 70s, 80s, and 90s...CB cant sit nowhere near those top tiers. The fusion of hiphop and r&b got alot of yall mfers fooled on actual R&B skills and songs. You trying to say Chris Brown is pop? How you loud and wrong.
An R&b artist making music that becomes pop-ular does not make them pop. When you hear pop, you know it. It has a cheesy, for white palettes element to it. Off the top of my head, the Neyo song with Pit Bull is clearly pop.
Now Chris brown or any r&b artist can make pop and vice versa, but what you do the majority of the time defines you. 90% of the time Chris brown is making (modern) r&b. As opposed to Bruno Mars and the fukkshyt he makes. He is clearly a pop artist
Let's be real how many of these were reference tracks given to him?
Justin Timberlake could have had it but the titty situation derailed him.
So you’re changing your argument now? Gotcha lol
My argument was him stepping outside of R&B sounds forced. How is me saying he uses reference tracks and other people writing those songs changing my argument?
