-Minnesota inexplicably trades KAT for Julius Randle, punting on a WCF team, pushing Ant further away from being face of the league

-Spurs give Wemby an all star running mate Fox, giving up no youth, nothing of value, aiding him to be face of the league

-Mavs trade Luka, gives him the Lakers star market

-Grizz fire Jenkins, pushing Ja further away from face of the league

-Nuggets fire Malone

None of these moves make sense by themselves. Gotta be a larger league-mandated goal

Wow, this is one of the most surprising firings in a long time.

I don't know much about Booth, but as far as Malone is concerned, I don't think he deserved to be fired, and IMO, he is a part of the Nuggets' identity; when you speak of Denver, you instantly think of Jokic, or Murray, and Malone.

There clearly were some internal behind-the-scenes issues for ownership to fire both of them so late into the season with the playoffs around the corner, Malone sometimes for better or worse has a big mouth so maybe he said something out of bounds or criticized ownership for not financially investing more into the team and maybe Booth agreed with him or something else that was critical of ownership, not even basketball related, who knows.
