. 0 tears for a billionaire because, while he will definitely make money hand ovet fist, he wont make quite as much as certain others. All markets cash in on these TV deals and overall revenue sharing. I dont buy this small market woe is me BS. Gilbert bytched about small markets, led the charge to get the Cp3 deal vetoed, then made it rain when Bron came back.
That shyt was put in place to ensure cost certainty (making teams more attractive to potential buyers) and give owners excuses for their cheapness and/or incompetence. Dont let them fool you with this small market BS.
They need to remove the cap and draft and let folks get it how they live. Its competition...if you cant keep up with the big boys get out the way.

Your example of a small market team spending is when the Cleveland Cavs spent to brought back "arguably" the greatest player in NBA history. A player who only came back because he was raised less than an hour from the arena.
How many top tier free agents have ever clamored to head to Cleveland, Indiana, Charlotte, Utah, Memphis, New Orleans, OKC, Portland, Sacramento, etc....? The only way those teams can compete is if they draft well, but the shyt is set up so that if you do draft well you are penalized.
The NFL understands that the shyt works best if everyone believes they are operating on a level playing field.

You are contradicting yourself. You do realize the NFL system does the same thing and is actually more extreme right? The thing that you are saying keeps the playing field level is what you are also railing against. The old system, before all the max contracts and aprons would actually allow a team to keep the team that they drafted with no problem aside from what they were willing to spend. Bulls were paying MJ 30 mil on a 20 something million salary cap. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me to put Adelman in a fulltime position. They fired Booth and Malone, so why not just do a complete reset and detach themselves from that saga?

The interim guy always has the locker rooms ear and Is usually loved. Doesn't always mean it's going to translate to a head coaching position . I would open up the job to interviews.
