Is this good for the Nuggets?

Hiring the young coach albeit an interim coach who has been an assistant since 2017 isn't an issue... but there's no GM. I am a believer in hiring the right executive first then having them hire their own coach.

Yeah, you’re pretty much setting it up for the GM and coach to have issues because they’re both gonna make power plays against each other.

I don't like it. But my reasoning is different. I just have a problem with 3 nba teams had head coach openings and no one opened up the job for interviews. Spurs, Grizz, Nuggets. This isn't just a sports problem but a problem in America period. Companies either fake hiring with job postings already knowing who they are gonna hire. Or not interviewing period.
I was going to make a similar comment and I agree. You can also add the Kings to the list, who made Doug Christie their new head coach.

Exactly. And the thing is players always rally around the interim guy and play hard. But once they officially become the head coach you know all that goes out the window

Usually teams hire a GM first but if they feel the guy they want is already there then it could work out. They have to make sure they are on the same page from day one though. It's not like the Nuggets are that far away and it wasn't long ago we were saying they had the best starting 5 in the league.
