shyt is sad as fukk. My great grandma was in one, but she constantly had company cuz she was big mama . She had a big cork pad with a gang of pictures of the family on it. One of the staff members told her she was lucky to have so many family members that cared about her. We went out there for Christmas one year, people looked at us like we were crazy for mobbing deep out there. Out of all those residents, only a handful came out there to see their people on Christmas .

Brought trays up at 7 during Jeopardy and they always treated me like missed family.

One of my accounts is a nursing home. Went there today actually. Since it's in the hood, its mixed evenly. cacs, latinos, and black people. It's depressing working there sometimes. They treat the patients really good but some of these people sit around with this look and u can tell they thinking "can i just fukking die already?" i hate that account.

My grandpa was in one but the one he was at the white people didn't want to change him. We got him a black nurse and he was happy and constantly hitting on her. He passed happy.

My dad was in a rehabilitation center for a few days (MD Anderson lied and said he was going to rehab but they knew he was weeks away from death) and it wasn't all that at all. Some are good some are crap. I can honestly tell you that it was hard helping my mom with dad when he was going to the bathroom on himself. So my dad was sent to Kindred Hospital instead where he died.

I worked in one for three days I had to leave. Y'all the sh*t I was seeing and dealt with in those 3 days....Brehs/Brehettes!!!!!!!!!!

The one I was at....it was supposed to be an assisted living where the folks can come and go if they wanted to. The folks I had, I cleaned them, and one lady was so off she would take her underwear off, turn them inside out, and put them on her head like one of those night caps black women wear at night. All sorts of stains in them n all.

One couple (I actually lol'ed at them)....the woman would tell her husband "shut the hell up" and he was all old and smiling and talking weird sh*t and she would be like "with yo old a**" ..and they were old as f*ck. For their anniversary they were all happy like they did the do and one morning I walked in on them and his pants were all and he saw me and smiled like ...his wife was screaming "if you don't put yo clothes on and leave that young girl alone wit yo old ass" . I had to help him pull his diaper up and he was still all .


Another old guy kept flirting like hell with me; told me he couldn't walk and would "fall on me" on purpose smh. I even had to help feed this man.

One was an ex-klan member and would look at me hard because he had no clue wtf I was. He leaned close and said "yeah youse a n*gga" and he had old confederate and clan pics on his wall n sh*t. I never went back in his room. If he needed anything I didn't give a f*ck

Hell one lady would sit up straight like a statue and her hands and fingers would be stuck and when she would see me she would grab me and go "super hero!!!" and ask me "are you a super hero?" so I would go "why yes I am" .....but on the inside I was all . But her face would be "my super hero! " when she saw me.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when I walked into a lady's room and I saw a big ass roach crawl on her head, in her hair, jump the f*ck down like ...........and I quit the next day....I couldn't do it. I respect those who can.

I used to work in rehab rehabilitation. There quite a few black residents in there; and we weren't a big facility.

Now if this thread were changed to say " a lot of cna's " I might agree.

Had a resident ask a cna to take them to the bathroom, cna walked right by them, acting like she didn't hear her
