That 4th quarter was different than anything we've seen in 4 years.Even last year when we beat Houston and Minny at home....we basically held on at the end after blowing big leads early...Only game wasnt like that was the Celtics/Cavs wins in January.

I’ll delete my coli account if someone posts a game where John Wall took over against a good team the way Lowry has been doing for years. This dude got Derozan his contract I’ve been consistent on this for a long time he breaks down because he’s over playing to protect Demars ego and rep. There was no reason for a fat 30 year old PG to be playing 40 plus minutes when we had a supposed all star out there. And he shytted on John wall in the playoffs last year wtf???
Another thing that is very positive about this win is Nurse out coached Brad Stevens.
Jalen Rose made the point how he took Jaylen Brown out the game by using Fred and Kyle at the end of the game.
Also starting Ibaka paid off and he made the right adjustments when things werent working,didnt wait for the game to get away.
Siakam didnt have a good game and went with Anunoby at the end...
Tonight i saw the difference between Nurse and Casey....DC would have been way too stubborn to make the changes mid game that Nurse did.
Thats what having a young coach trying to earn his chops in the league will get you....

Paul George revealed to ESPN's The Undefeated that he "would have been in a Lakers uniform" if he had never been traded from the Indiana Pacers. But after the Pacers dealt the five-time All-Star to the Oklahoma City Thunder instead last year, he fell in love with his new team and playing with Russell Westbrookbefore eventually agreeing to a four-year, $137 million contract extension this past offseason.
"It was 50-50 on deciding whether I wanted to come back home or if it was smarter to be in the situation I am in now," George told The Undefeated. "But it wasn't overstated. I wanted to play in L.A. That is where I wanted to go. Had that trade never went down, had I played one more year in Indy, I would have been in a Lakers uniform."

That’s what me and my boy was saying at the bar. Raptors typically won against good teams by hanging on after squandering a good lead. Yesterday was the opposite—we were down at the half and came back in the 3rd, only to extend that lead in the last 4 minutes of the game. I never saw a Casey coached team do that. I never saw a Derozan led team do that. Those winning plays Kyle used to make by himself on our old teams, well we got Kawhi and Danny Green making those plays now too. That’s gonna make a huge impact come playoff time.
Raps still have lots of bad habits from the Casey era—not knowing what to do if the initial play on offence doesn’t work and not boxing out perimeter players—so it’ll be interesting to see what this team looks like in the winter when those habits don’t exist anymore.
That’s my big takeaway from the coaching change so far—Nurse sees when something isn’t working and goes away from it.
That said, Nurse has to figure out a way to get Miles going. He also needs to not play Powell at all. AT ALL. Also, I’d put OG back in the starting lineup and return Siakim to the bench. OG is so elite on defence (Nurse put OG on Tatum second half and really slowed him down) and can make the 3, while Siakim is still learning how to play with more usage and responsibility. I just don’t think Siakim is there just yeeeet. But he will be soon.
