I own the book. I would recommend purchasing it to look at the pictures and read the captions if nothing else. It was written by a Canadian dentist who, along with his wife, traveled the world in the early 20th century and visited the few remaining communities that only ate their native diet of whole natural foods. The book is filled with amazing pictures of people with beautiful teeth and skin and along with people whose bodies have been destroyed by modern eating. There are also pictures of deformed malnourished animals.

Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, along with a ton of research, helped me figure out that there is no such thing as chronic disease, only malnutrition. Arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, and many cancers are caused by the foods we eat and the nutrients that we lack.

I haven't read the book in years, but there is information in proper nutrition. I looked in the index and vitamin k is not mentioned. Dr. Weston Price said if you drink milk, drink it alone as a meal itself, which makes sense because milk has protein, carbs, and fat. He meant raw milk and I personally stopped drinking milk when I noticed that organic milk lasted for a month. Food has to rot quickly, so no pasteurized or homogenized milk.

Although it is not sustainable or affordable, the most healthy diet is raw vegan. Dr. Sebi has a food list. Raw fruits and vegetables with cooked meat is also good. Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn has reversed heart disease with a cooked vegan diet and NO added fat. I personally think heart disease can be reversed with any high nutrient diet but it is important to eliminate some food groups and do not combine acidic foods with alkaline (base) foods.

Simply Raw Reversing Diabetes shows people being cured of diabetes in a few days while on a raw diet.

My diet is horrible, even though I know what to do. I am starting a fast tomorrow. After that I will follow the plan used at the Hippocrates Health Institute, which is basically raw low glycemic vegetables. I am doing it for weight loss. Most average weight people need fruit for the extra calories.

As an example I make my own salad dressing using roma tomatoes, a cucumber, and an avocado, plus some lemon. I own a Vitamix blender so it is easy to prepare raw dishes.

There is no perfect diet, but any good diet should only be whole natural foods: fruit, vegetable, and meat. Raw milk if you can get it. I'm not a fan of grains, but I think if the diet is low-fat with little or no meat, grains can be ok. People have to eat what they can afford and raw is expensive. Raw fruits in my area are bad quality for some reason which is why I have slacked horribly. I will just do raw vegetables and avoid the nasty fruit they sell here.

It simple. The Earth provides up with all the things we need to survive unprocessed. Process foods are stripped of its original nutrients. One has to know their body in order to properly balance it. If you eat more of a healthy and organic diet, you will feel the difference and see it. If you eat bad or even semi "good" and don't balance your diet, then that's where sicknesses and the other ills can come into your body, because you do not have enough immunity against it. I'm completely vegan and it's one of the best decisions I've made for myself.

They don't digest as well or have the nutritional content as some other grains.

In terms of the thread, our current power structure will never admit or fully investigate the role food/nutrition plays in health/disease. Too much money at stake.
