As someone who was an Atlanta transplant before the city blew up, I got stories for days.
I remember one time we had a pick up game in a popular park on the Northside. It basically attracted people from all over the city, including people of different economic backgrounds.
So your boy plays bully ball on the court. Literally, if I decide to play strong no one is stopping me. It so happened I was bullying the other team all day, and at one point I grab an offensive board over two dudes, with the put back and yelled out "bytch!!!".
That's when one of these scrawny 125lb gangbangers straight up said, "Ain't no bytches out here, I'll make your mama miss you".
It could have gone several ways. I could have acted tough and called his bluff and see what happens. I could have called one of the homes off the strength of the threat and we all probably go to jail. I chose the most mature response which is I apologized and dapped it up with him after the game. Long story short, I def learned to watch my mouth in a casual setting because not everyone is down for the back and forth.
