I chose the Mets, cause I don't like the Yankees.
Don't watch football anymore, but repped the Giants because I had a Giants football as a kid.
Was a Knick fan because it's in NY, but became a Heat fan after they got Bron

I'm from Jersey

When I was little , I was originally a Knicks fan and a Jets fan. My dad is/was a big knicks fan so he had me rooting for them. He likes both the Giants and the Jets but at that time I picked the Jets. I was pretty little at that time, Dad had me watching sports at young age

I switched sides when I got a lil older and became a Nets and Giants fan. And I still am today

I was a kid , I didn't know better

I don't have any regrets about my decisions tho

Never watched baseball growing up, it used to be boring as fukk to me

Then randomly I had the mets game on and it was exciting(2006), it was like the opposite of the yankee games I tried watching growing up(live in the BX) but it didn't make me want to fall asleep and that's when I discovered Jose Reyes who's still my favorite baseball player. Of course it's been painful ever since but it's good now.

Started watching Jets because it's what SNY covered.

Yankees got good in 95 and the Mets were bad. Paul O'Neill used to hit HR into the Bleachers with those big O'Neill targets. My Cousin was a big Mariners fan, so it got real in 95.

Jets got real good in 98, even though I remember the Giants choking away that playoff game in 97 vs the Vikings. I didn't get into football like that until 98 and the entire block was Jets fans.

I don't got any hatred towards to the Giants or Mets tho, like some fans do.

My Dad was a big Namath fan and they used to practice in Peekskill where he grew up. My grandfather hated the Giants too.

And my cousin was a big Matingly fan so I always liked the Yanks.

I was born in 88, so these choices happened in the early 90s

Yankees- Dad is a Yanks, Mom is a Mets fan. Picked the Yankees

Giants- Dad is a Giants fan, Mom is Jets. I picked the Giants

Rangers- Whole family is Rangers fans so there was no decision there

Nets- This one is different. Dad grew up in Upstate NY, so he's a Celtics fan. As a kid I was an MJ fan, never really picked a team and just rooted for Jordan. When he retired I decided to finally pick a team. I wasn't picking the Celtics, couldn't root for a Boston team. I could never root for the Knicks because of all those Jordan matchups, I hated them. So there was only 1 other local team, and the Nets became my team during the 98-99 lockout season.

Brought up to be a Yankee fan with the family since jump. Never rocked with the Mets and never will. Been reppin the Giants since the end of Dan Reeves and start of the Fassel era and just didnt think to be a fan of the Jets which is good because draft and record wise they were bad in the mid 90's.

Always been a Knicks fan. Started with the Harper, Starks, Mason, Oak, Ewing squad till now. Chose them because they embodied NY. Don't care how bad they lose, I'll always be a fan. No bandwagoner here.

Seems like family roots and borough preference account for this. I can imagine each borough has their preferred team. Except for during the playoffs when they all jump on the other teams bandwagon.

I will never root for the Mets, Jets, Knicks, or Islanders. There might be series where I don't like the other team either so I don't care who wins. But I'll never openly root for one of those teams.

Some people do, but I won't. 1 town, 1 team for me (word to Little Giants :umadspike:smile:

Everybody was a giants and yankees fan in my school so I went the opposite way.

As far as knicks, everybody in my fam was a hardcore knicks fan in the early 90s so I rolled with my fam
