Yankees - Bronx Born And Raised, First Sport I Ever Got Into, Lived Like 6 Stops On The 4 Train From Yankee Stadium. First Game I Ever Went To Was In 87-88 (I Was 5-6) Don Mattingly & Dave Winfield Were My Favorite Players.

Knicks - The Only NY Team, They Were Tough And Fun To Watch, Hated The Bulls With A Passion. To This Day I Still Think Back To The 94 Finals And What Could Have Been.

Jets - Crazy shyt, I Actually Liked The Rival, And Non NY Miami Dolphins As A Kid Cause I Loved Dan Marino And Till This Day Id Call Him My Fav QB Of All Time, That Was For About 2 Seasons Then I Choose To Be Strictly NY, I Went With The Jets Cause I Was More Familiar With The Players, Also Cause The Giants Are More Loved In NY So I Went The Other Way.

Rangers - I Don't Watch Hockey But They Play At MSG, And I Watched Every Game Of The 94 Conference Finals And Stanley Cup Finals
:ohhh: I'm a Marino Stan too!

That's the GOAT QB breh:wow:

It's fukk the fins tho :bustback::bustback:

i grew up in yonkers, but most of my family is form down south in texas. as a young kid, i didn't really have a favorite pro football team, i just like watching football, but my dad was a cowboys fan so i rooted for them for a while. as i got older i started saying to myself, "why do i give a fukk about the cowboys? i've never even been to texas." so i decided i was gonna root for a hometown team. the jets had just signed parcells in '96 or '97 and they were starting to resemble a real team. after years of hating the giants i just couldn't turn it off so i became a jets fan. i was always a knicks fan so no story there. as far as baseball, i didn't really care for the sport much, but after all my friends and neighbors jumped on the yankee bandwagon in '96, i was like fukk that team and their a$$hole dikkriding fans, i'll roll with the mets instead. hockey?? who gives a shyt.

Giants had LT and better colors than Jets

Yankees used to be on WPIX all the time and all the legends were Yankees...easy pick even though they were losing to the blue jays in those times

First basketball game that was on for me was 1993 eastern conference finals Knicks vs Bulls I picked Jordan and the Bulls...that Jordan mystique was too hard to not root for

Repped Devils cuz I'm from Jersey

Saw many titles as a fan growing up in the 90s lmao

My family had season ticks for the Nets since the Kenny, Drazen and DC days. I was am a Suns fan but pulled for the Nets heavy. fukk them since they moved though. And I been a Giants fan since as far as I can remember. nikkas from Newark mostly choose Giants over Jets from my observation.

Mets, Jets, Islanders: growing up it seems like everybody was a Yankees/Giants/Rangers fan. I simply didn't want to be a sheep and follow the crowd. Looking back I should have thought that through more :pachaha:

Knicks: Its simple, there was no chance I would be rooting for a team in fukking New Jersey. So I became a Knicks fan by default. Had the nets been in Brooklyn at the time, I would be a nets fan most likely.

Yankees - They sucked when I started watching baseball (which was always my favorite sport) and I was always mad that people shyt on them so I picked the Yankees.

Knicks - They were the only basketball team when I was young but I got nothing against the Nets since I grew up in BK and I put on for my city, so let those boys cook.

Rangers - They play in MSG...the choice was simple

Giants - Hmmm...I dunno why I never picked the Jets. My favorite color is Blue so I guess as a kid I just rolled with it. Nothing against the Jets tho, quite a few of my friends are Jets fans and I seen the pain in the eyes of some grown ass men on a Sunday so if ya'll ever win a chip, more power to you. Plus the Pats are your division rivals and fukk New England except for their comedians and their food.

In my house you were a knicks fan or you got out. My dad laid the law. Baseball and football it didn't mattered. I just to like the Jets but my good friend was a giants fan so I rode with them. I love the Giants now. Also my hatred of the Cowboys comes from my brother and him always winning in play fights. Anything he liked I hated. Baseball I like both but the Mets get my love since winning is another meh to Yankee fans. If the mets win it would feel like little brother finally got his

Knicks and Jets from my father. Loved the Knicks as far back as I can rememeber, fell in love with basketball first.

Jets came later, I likes the salute Adrian Murrell did whenever he scored and became a Jets fan.

Baseball I didn't care that much for but they gave away free Met tickets at school when I was younger and got into baseball then. Shortly after they got Mike Piazza and I followed a bit more. Played Triple Play with friends, got more into it. Chose them as my squad, them Blue/Orange Knick colors.

My life is miserable..im a mets, nets and jets fan :mjcry:

Jets - I had a sweatshirt from them when i was a kid so i just rolled with them :heh:
Mets - Just took a liking to them :manny:
Nets- Pops took me to the draft when the nets drafted kenny anderson. I kept following the nets and took a liking to the team.. they had drazen and dc. I thought Chris morris was nice cause i saw him hit a half court shot :heh: Plus i hated the knicks. Didnt like anything about them. Pops was a hard core knicks fan but all the players i liked killed them..bulls, reggie ..it just didnt add up for me. Plus that fakkit ass John Starks ruined Kenny Andersons career with that flagrant foul and broke his wrist..he was never the same after that so i will never root for them :pacspit:

But honestly the other NY teams ill root for. No hatred towards them ...except them fukk boy knicks :ucku:

I was born in the Bronx so rooting for the Yanks was a natural thing. Became a Jets fan because most of my cousins were Giants fans and of course the Knicks.

Pretty simple when the Yankees/Knicks/Rangers/Giants games are always on in your house you just grow right into it. Honestly my dad wouldnt allow me to not be a Yankee/Giant fan. I dont think he would care if i chose a different team from Knicks/Rangers. If I didnt watch them religiously and talk about them he probably wouldnt even watch either anymore he just watches them so when I talk to him hes up to date with them.

Nets & Devils - They were the Jersey squads plus I used to go to games when I was younger.

Jets - My dad is a huge USC fan and loved Keyshawn Johnson. Since he was a Keyshawn fan, I become a Keyshawn fan. I hadn't picked an NFL team yet in 96 but when Keyshawn was drafted by the Jets I became a Jet fan.

Mets - Loved those late 90s squads and to be contrarian to all my classmates who were Yankees fan.

I never could root for squads that weren't local. Even though I loved some squads growing up (Mid 90's Cowboys & the Mid 90's-Early 2000's Seattle Mariners) I never felt the connection for them as I did the local squads.
