She sees Mamdani’s name and sees “free buses” under his campaign promise and goes, well how is he going to get that done? I basically tell her he’s got to either raise taxes or cut funding from something and allocate the funds to that cause. My heart will always be in Brooklyn but Brooklyn damn sure isnt that great to be paying that much for rent and on top of that, its becoming a watered down version of manhattan. If im paying that much money, I might as well build a batcave in the upstate woods or somewhere secluded. Some of those folks moving into those gentrified Brooklyn are the same annoying weirdos from the suburbs. Momdani had a hell of a grassroots outreach. In districts that Momdani won, the turnout was high and the votes were 3:1 in his favor. In cuomos districts, the numbers were low and were maybe 2:1 at best.

I'll be waiting to see how this works out for the black people still living here in NYC.

if this guys does the community grocery stores that should help with employing more black people.

free buses will get way less black people caught up in the criminal justice system cause they not evading the fare.

MTA screwed me over years ago with these fukked up metrocards. i even got a letter from them saying i didn't deprived them of any funds but they still kept the $65 fine payment they made me pay before going to their rigged remediation process. .

childcare is crazy expensive and this should provide relief for a lot of black families too.

we need more affordable housing.
