:picard: you bugging. You paying two months wprth of a mortgage to be in that crowded ass area with all sorts of pollution and no space each month. Do you. Couldnt be me though. My heart is in Brooklyn but Brooklyn aint that great to be paying that much for rent

I don't want a mortgage. And maybe I'm used to the noise. I did grow up next to the BQE :russ:

If I ever wanted to move out of the city, it would be for a similarly dynamic place with lower rent prices.

They don't get it.

Adams gave the City Council almost everything they wanted. Any pushback against the shyt they wanted was largely the shyt that the actual residents of these neighborhoods didn't want.

The City Council and the Borough Presidents decide what ACTUALLY goes on in this city because at the end of the day, the CC and the BPs determine who sits on the Community Boards, who are largely only supposed to "advocate on behalf of the community".

They won't do the math because it destroys their dumbass logic: if the Community Boards are stocked with people who will only sign off on shyt that the CC and Borough President wants and the CC and BPs are bought and sold by the same corporations that these people SAY they don't want, then it's really just an echo chamber politically.
The Borough presidents don’t do shyt but promote tourism and business in their Borough and give speeches. It’s a great holding pattern position for a move to a more consequential position.

You are right about the community boards but if you attend their meetings regularly and aren’t protesting they will usually let you join.

Most of what you said is fan fiction. Like the theme of corporate ownership is accurate but it’s not that prevalent as we saw yesterday. It’s a struggle between all those different special interests.

The poorest people have already left NYC. No wonder the socialist is winning. The only people remaining are the die hard ideologues who dont know how shyt works.

Nikka you don’t even live in NYC but you’re gonna tell the people who do why they should have voted for Cuomo?

Beyond the politics have you motherfukkers just considered he was a fukking horrible candidate?

Also the last two mayors that did well here was Bloomberg and De Blasio and while Bloomberg went out like a sucker on stop and frisks. He and De Blasio would both be considered progressives on most things.

The only reason I dont live in NYC is cause my parents moved 3 months before I was born.

I have family there.

:what:

the MTA gets over $6 billion dollars a year from farees and tolls.
My man I’m talking about the bus.

I live in this city. Go on the Grand Concourse route from 138th all the way uptown, 1 bus or 2 bus calculate what % pays the fare during rush hour. :mjlol:

The city cannot enforce fare.

the poorest people under neoliberal policies have left nyc.
NYC isn’t a bubble. Mt Vernon would not be a socialist utopia next door to NYC. These aren’t isolated economics and communities. Yall just love saying free shyt and then acting surprised when it doesn’t happen.

NYC is already highly taxed.
